Jessie Joiner, a Licensed Practical Nurse (“LPN”) at Dr. William O. Benenson Pavilion, a Queens Nursing Home, was recently sentenced to three years probation and forced to surrender her LPN license. She allegedly knocked an 85-year old female resident out of her wheelchair and onto the floor at the facility. The resident suffered a fractured hip. Ms. Joiner then failed to evaluate her or get immediate medical attention.
In addition, the defendant reportedly stole Percocet from the nursing home’s supply of narcotics.
